FAQ

Should I store guns?

Yes! Gun ownership is a right protected under the Second Amendment. But, not everyone can own guns. Gun ownership is not permitted for people with mental illness.

But, having a firearm in your house can save lives. The CDC reports that there have been over 33,000 accidental shooting-related deaths between 1999 & 2016.

The good news is that concealed weapons are allowed in most states. So, even if you aren't allowed to own a gun, you still have the option of carrying one around with you.

What emergency supplies should I have at home?

It is important that you plan ahead to be ready for any situation if your trip will last for a while. You might want to consider packing a few essential items such as food, water, a first aid kit, a torch, batteries, etc. This will help you feel prepared and more confident that you will be able to deal with any situation.

An excellent place to start would be a basic kit for first aid. It should contain antiseptic creams as well painkillers, bandages and gauze pads. Tweezers, scissors, thermometers, alcohol swabs and tweezers are also recommended. For emergencies, you may need to have a flashlight in order to be able to see what is inside the kit.

It is a good idea to keep these items in a clear plastic container with a cover. This will keep your items clean and dry.

Also, consider the possibility of storing food up to a week in advance. You could even freeze your own food. These are simple to cook and require no special cooking equipment. All you need is hot water.

Another great idea would be to set up a solar-powered battery backup system. This will allow for you to charge your phone, tablet and laptop.

What can you buy to get through the end of the world

It may seem silly, but if you're going to survive the apocalypse, you should know what to buy first!

Here is a list to help you keep your home safe when the world goes dark.

The best way to prepare yourself for an apocalyptic event is by preparing yourself mentally and physically.

You should be prepared for all eventualities.

Make sure you have enough water and food to last for a while.

Think about the other essentials like matches, lighters and batteries.

Make sure you have enough money to last until the end.

We never know how long we will live.

How do you prepare your house for war?

The first thing you need to do is make sure all windows are closed tight. You can then store everything that you have. You will need enough water and food to last you the day.

A plan for an evacuation should be prepared. Evacuate immediately if there is any possibility that your home may be attacked.

If you do not, you could be dead!

Is there a place where most doomsday preppers reside?

People who prepare for the apocalypse prefer to live in rural areas. They have a greater chance of survival in the event that society crumbles. They also have a greater chance of finding supplies when there's less competition for resources.

You must find shelter, food, water, and other essentials if you are to survive.

You should only go to areas with low population density. The more people there are, the easier it will be to survive.

Where can I store my survival gear

It is best to keep your emergency survival gear near you so it is easily accessible in the event of an emergency. A closet or under your beds is the best place to store supplies.

You need to label all supplies with the contents, date, and how they were used so you can easily identify which ones are good and which are not.

Keep a copy of the inventory in another place. If something happens to your house or apartment, you'll need proof that you had the right stuff.

What should I know before I begin my doomsday planning?

First, you will need to collect information about your region. What natural disasters could you expect to happen in your locality? Are there any major risks?

You should consider purchasing flood insurance if your home is in a flood zone. Flooding is a threat to life that can occur during a crisis.

You may need tsunami insurance if you live near the coasts. Underwater earthquakes cause tsunamis. These can occur at any time, so be prepared.

Next, decide how long do you want to be independent. What is your ability to take care of yourself?

Will you be absent for a few short days? Or will you be away for several weeks or months?

Is it possible to live alone? You will likely need a weapon if you live alone. It doesn’t matter if it is a gun oder a bow & arrow. You should be comfortable with the tool you choose.

You'll need tools such as a shovel and axe, saw, saw, hammer, nails and rope. These are things that you could use to build shelters or create makeshift weapons.

Stock up on water and food. Make sure you have enough to last for several days.

Keep in mind that not every item on this checklist needs to be purchased. At the very least, you need to get started.

How To

How to preserve food for survival

It is best to dry food when it is in urgent need. Drying food makes them last longer by removing moisture. It also inhibits the growth of bacteria.

Dried fruits can be used as snacks in emergencies and don't require cooking. They're easy to carry around, and you can eat as much as you want without worrying about weight gain.

You can make dried fruit at home using a dehydrator, but if you have access to a solar oven, this would be ideal. A solar oven can be used to dry many foods, such as meat, fish, and vegetables.

Airtightness is the most important aspect of food preservation. This stops oxygen entering the food and spoiling it. You don't need to use preservatives if the container is sealed tightly enough.

If you do decide to add preservatives, try adding salt first. Salt is a good way to prevent mold growth. Then follow this with vinegar. Vinegar kills off harmful bacteria and stops mold from growing.

To get started, you'll need to cut up your food into small pieces. Either a pair of scissors or a sharp knife are acceptable. Pack everything carefully so there is no air in the container

Next, place the food in a bag. Seal the bag and leave it somewhere warm until it dries completely.

Once the food is dry, you can store it in a sealed container. Make sure that nothing touches the food.
